I haven’t been blogging as much lately, and it’s not because I’ve forgotten about you. At the end of July, I finished my second book and decided to step away from it for 6 weeks before editing.
We went on a 3-week vacation to visit my husband’s family and have been home for a few weeks now. Finally, I began editing my book. My not-so-brilliant idea of creating a schedule didn’t work out. I thought that each day I would be able to write a blog post, guest post, and spend two hours editing my novel.
My host knocked my blog offline and I spent a week fixing the issue, and then I needed to catch up on emails and guests posts. No matter how hard I try to split my time, all I want to do is work on this book. It’s screaming out to me. Whenever my daughter gives me a free moment, I run right to it. I realized that there is not enough time in the day for me to be able to do all I want. I need to start recognizing my limitations instead of ignoring them and making excuses. So instead of splitting myself into two, I’m going to finish self-editing this book, and then pass it on to professionals. I hope to have this book published by March 2013.
So this month you may not hear as much from me, but please know that I haven’t disappeared. Running a blog is truly a full-time job, and I love it. From time to time, I need to take a step back to work on large projects to help build an income. French Mamma needs new shoes 😉
Keep a lookout in the upcoming weeks because I will be announcing a contest. Anyone can enter and the prize is an assortment of things from around France. I’m working on buying all the goodies now… and wow, it’s good!!!
I know you may be curious about what this new book is about. I’m hesitant on saying anything and am not sure why. As soon as an editor looks at my first chapter, I will post it for you all to download to preview. This book is my baby, well, besides my actual baby… and my big baby (my husband), whoops! You never heard me say that.
